Children's House

Children's House is designed to support the learning experiences of children from the ages of three to six. Learning materials focus on developmental readiness.  Through the manipulation of these specialized materials, children acquire and master new skills.  This forms a foundation for a continued willingness to learn and explore.  Older children are encouraged to practice newly-acquired skills by helping their younger classmates.  These little acts of kindness enhance the learning experience and teach the values of patience and generosity.

Children are also encouraged to take ownership and responsibility for their classroom environment.  They learn the location and function of the various materials and come to understand the importance of caring for and organizing their learning tools.

Children's House is a joyful, busy place. Our Montessori-trained teachers ensure attention to the learning process by offering children an interesting mix of activities that engage all of the senses. The experiences gained in Children's House prepare the child for the independent learning opportunities they will encounter in the Lower Elementary  program.

All-Day Montessori

(available to 3-6 year-olds)           8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Monday through Friday
